Reba McEntire went beyond her country music fame and entered prime time TV to great success with her hit show Reba. Her show ran from 2001 – 2007 and she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series in the category of Musical/Comedy.
Reba has again returned to TV with her new show Malibu Country. Demonstrating country music’s popularity, Malibu Country is yet another country music themed show appearing in the prime time TV line up – Nashville, being the other one. Both shows are on ABC.
Malibu Country came about when her son Brandon Blackstock heard about the script and presented it to his mom.
