I Knew You Were Trouble – Taylor Swift’s 23rd Video

Taylor Swift amazingly has produced 23 country music videos in her 23 years here on earth – yep, on her 23rd birthday.  The music video, I Knew You Were Trouble, debuted on Thursday, December 13 at 4:40 p.m. ET on MTV.  MTV?  My how programming changes…

MTV will be making Swift’s birthday a whole week celebration.  The roll out started on Monday with an exclusive photo gallery from the video shoot.  Tuesday was  a rundown of her first 22 videos.  Wednesday aired MTV’s Sway Calloway personal interview of the young “country” starlet.

VIDEO: Taylor provided a sneak peak on ABC before I Knew You Were Trouble was released on iTunes.

“I Knew You Were Trouble.” is the third video from Swift’s most recent album, Red.  With regards to the song and video, Swift told MTV, like the song itself, the “Trouble” video is definitely a departure.

Time will tell if this departure has a round trip or is Swift making her first stop out of the “country”…

American Country Awards 2012 – Luke Bryan Wins 9 Awards

Luke Bryan had a great fan base behind him in Monday’s American Country Awards show pulling in nine fan voted awards.  The most covenanted awards were artist and album of the year.  However, these were not to be outdone buy his hit song, I Don’t Want This Night to End, which won single and music video of the year. e year.

The broad and pearly white smile of Bryan beamed broad in receiving the awards and in his musical performance on the show.

American Country Awards in Las Vegas

ACA-Hosts-Trace-Atkins-Kristin-Chenoweth-The American Country Awards will be making its third year appearance this year.  Live from Las Vegas, The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, the two hour show will be hosted by country star Trace Adkins and singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth.  Promising to be a great country music show as well, what makes The American Country Awards extra special is that it is the only major country music awards show where the winners are chosen by the fans.  (Remember American Idol and Carrie Underwood?  Carrie has since admitted voting for herself on Idol.  You weren’t alone Carrie!)  Voting for all categories except Artist of The Year ended November 12, but you can still vote once per day for Artist of The Year until December 7th. 

Showtime:  Monday, Dec., 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Reba Talks about Malibu Country

Reba-McEntire-headshotReba McEntire went beyond her country music fame and entered prime time TV to great success with her hit show Reba. Her show ran from 2001 – 2007 and she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series in the category of Musical/Comedy.    

Reba has again returned to TV with her new show Malibu Country.  Demonstrating country music’s popularity, Malibu Country is yet another country music themed show appearing in the prime time TV line up – Nashville, being the other one.  Both shows are on ABC.
