Fox Tv is presenting The American Country Awards hosted by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth Monday December 5.  Fox claims, “the two-hour primetime special is the only country music awards show that gives fans the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists not only in traditional categories but also in previously unrecognized areas of the business such as touring, encompassing the entire spectrum of country music.”

Voting was by fans who could vote once per day until Nov. 11, 2011.  However, the ARTIST OF THE YEAR category remained open until Dec. 2nd only two days before the show airs live from The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Monday, Dec. 5 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).  The AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS will also feature performances and appearances by the year’s chart-topping country artists.

Blake Boldt of The 9513 gave the song a thumbs up, saying “There’s hope and heart and a whole lot to like about this, one of the year’s best singles and an odd bright spot on Sugarland’s ambitious fourth album. The Incredible Machine may be an unruly mess, but “Little Miss” is a hit.” Mark Erickson of Roughstock was also favorable of the song, giving the song four stars, saying “The melody is inviting and the lyrics are some of the duo’s best of the album”.
